I'm momentarily (and unexpectedly) in LA tonight. My sweetie had a last-minute job-interview thing here so we hurried over, and will be hurrying back Tuesday afternoon, but for the moment, hurrah. I've already done my prerequisite watch-the-sun-come-up-at-Canter's breakfast and feel like a proper 80s rock casualty. In the morning it's breakfast at Nat's Early Bite, a visit to the Big Kid Toy Emporium and then back to Phoenix for a bit.

So, a nice bit of news--I don't think I mentioned it here yet, but I'm featured in this month's Curve magazine...the one with Katy Perry on the cover, yes. It's a very generous and supportive profile and it's much appreciated (and it's not on the website so visit your local newsstand/bookseller and check it out...Borders and B&N carry it...)

I'm doing a bit better healthwise since I last wrote. Working on a ridiculous script I kind of love even though it is unlikely to advance the cause of commercial success. I'm hopeful this year will bring good things.

Could really go for one of those Canter's omelets tonight but I need to sleep. Just saying hi. Hope you're doing well.

That's all very cool news (and here's hoping for more health).

I'd love to read the article ... but I don't think we have Curve on the newstand here. Maybe I should search around anyway.

I actually don't have a hard copy of it yet myself, but as soon as I get one I'll scan it and post it here...

...and thanks. :-) definitely in favor of more good health as well.

i saw your article on the last page of curve! i had half a mind to tap the harvard co-ed next to me on the shoulder and say "I KNOW THIS PERSON! SHE IS A FRIEND OF MINE!" but i didn't.

in any event, hooray for last-minute trips to los angeles. forest and i will be making a trip like this tomorrow to new york for his birthday. my best to your lovely girlfriend for a successful interview.

I hope I sounded halfway coherent. It was done in two or three different interviews/updates over the past several months, and I don't have as much to promote right now as I'd expected/hoped. But it was very good of them to run a profile of me anyway. I hope I can live up to it in some way.

Ah, good to know it's not online, cause I searched all over (I think you mentioned it in Facebook) and thought I just was missing something. I then dreamed that you were featured in something else, forget what just now.

Yea better health!

Good luck to your sweetie!

Thanks for the good wishes! I will definitely scan it when I get a copy, so everyone can see it who couldn't find one elsewhere. In the dream version I was probably featured on the cover of American Shut-In...probably peering warily through the mail slot. Wait, that was no dream. :-)

I'm told it came out well...I've been traveling this week and haven't got a copy yet myself. Not exactly ruthlessly efficient lately, alas. :)

I concur about the profile! AND the issue of Curve is making an appearance in an upcoming Kittysneezes video project!!! WHAT IS IT?!?!??! NO ONE KNOWS?!?!?!?!?![1]

So, yay! Even if you ARE cheating on me with other interviewers.

[1] It's the "In The News" 2 weeks from now.

You are going to get the mother-of-all-mcbrennan-interviews, my friend. Your readers will all die of boredom long before they reach the end of my 15,000 word essay on the week I spent camped outside Bud Cort's house only to find it was that guy from Inside The Actor's Studio instead.

And, I must reply to your yesterday-post but just got in off the long lonesome American highway and need to sleep first. Long story short: thank you as always for the kind words and support.

Did you at least smack Lipton upside the head for makin' John Goodman dance when it was clear it was hurtin' him?

When Lipton calls the tune we cannot but dance. Lipton, our dark master, commands it! Dance, Goodman, Goddammit!

Yay you! I'm glad you're feeling better. Hope your trip to LA has been great and the sweety's job interview was productive. Think of you often even if I write seldom.

I'm thinking of you often as well. Hoping we can talk and/or see each other before too much more time passes. Lots of love to you and the fellas.

My life's been in such embarassing chaos for so long that I've been playing everything really close to the vest over the past several months, especially on LJ...but yeah, I've been involved with a lovely lady for a while now.

My own subscription has also lapsed, which seems doubly silly. But I will trundle down to the newsstand tomorrow and pick one up. And by "one" I mean several. :)
