My first YouTube-embedded post. I think you'll agree it was worth the wait. For I bring you Patti Smith on "Kids Are People Too" singing Debbie Boone's "You Light Up My Life".

While it's strange in so many ways, what struck me most about it was how genuine Patti Smith is, how respectful and honest she was with the kids. Nice. The Debbie Boone cover is just a bonus.

She's an American artist, and she has no guilt. She took that song and made it her own!

I was wondering twhat year that was from, then shementioned working with Rundgren so it would have been around 1979-80, right before Wave and the retirement.
