Cheap, yes. Chirpy, not so much.
Aug. 5th, 2007 05:21 amI have now listened to "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep" by Middle Of The Road fifteen times in the past twelve hours. Now it's your turn. Stunning how the cheerful bubblegum arrangement belies an incredibly depressing lyric. It was used to great effect in Breakfast On Pluto but used to greater effect on me after my mom vanished into thin air in the 70s. I prolly shoulda sued that Neil Jordan who has obviously been spying on me, but who'd have the heart?
Still kinda hoping I grow up to be Sally Carr, confidentially. Among many others.
Have dropped the queer high school thing in favor of writing a new pilot about a Hebrew detective who uses a sharp wit and a circumspect eye to cut to the truth of the cases the cops don't want solved. It's called The Mohel Opposition, the show where every case begins with a fresh tip, and it's coming to FOX this fall. It's a thriller at a brit milah, Sundays after Herman's Head.
