This is a tough one for me, given my history. I guess what I usually do is try to split the difference and just ask for inaccurate directions.

Date: 2008-11-17 01:13 pm (UTC)For myself, I enjoy the challenge of finding my way in unfamilliar territory, exploring and joyriding my way home. OTOH if I've got other people along and time is any sort of factor I don't hesitate to ask directions when needed.
