I have a bootleg vinyl of Bowie's Midnight Special "1980 Floor Show" in the vault. But clearly the magic's in the visuals. Why is that not out on DVD?
I just got off the phone withcapsuper. It was his 38th birthday today. He was apparently celebrating by playing in a puddle of water and dry ice. shoombala and fluffy109 were helping to mark the occasion in my absence. I have been friends with capsuper since 1977. That's what, ten, fifteen years? Pretty good run, that. I didn't want to insult him by sending him a gift, so instead I went to dinner with my generous host. Juan's Place in Berkeley. Good stuff.
Meanwhile I am watching "Black Caesar" on TCM and dealing with several matters that are best discussed in...(ominous music here)...locked posts! Oh, forbidden blog secrets, how I treasure you!
