is it bad that i watched that, thought "this is really funny...in theory" and started rattling off the one or two credits they got wrong? (like, that spirited away was written by a japanese director?)

ah well. i can't decide if i'm glad or mildly annoyed that they didn't go for a big lebowski reference with the shot in the bowling alley.

Actually, all those credits were technically correct, and those were the actual screenwriters. Mind you, in Spirited Away's case those writers were responsible for the English adaptation only. A funnier version will be forthcoming only when an equitable contract is signed.

I suppose it's too much to ask that Writer's Guild protests not be filled with easy jokes, tired cliches and lame characterizations.

This is nothing compared to the chants. "No money, no funny" indeed.

But come on, the churro/subtext thing was pretty cute.
